I used the Interlux paint on the hull. Recently I had the boat docked in brackish water for three weeks. When I pulled the boat out, the part of the hull that was submerged is covered in little bubbles under the paint.

Has anyone else had this problem, and does anyone have a suggestion on paint for the hull where I can leave the boat in the water for long periods of time?

Hi Frank. I had the same thing happen to me. Just have to sand off and repaint. I think that Brightsides was not intended to be a hull paint for below the water line.

Thanks for the reply. Did you use something other than Brightsides to stay in the water?

I don't keep my boat in the water. But the carpeting on the trailer bunks stays wet for quite a while. I now slide a 1x2 between the boat amd bunks when I park it to keep the paint away from the wet carpet and it gives the carpet a better chance of drying..
