Hi folks! Just bought a half built boat and am looking for painting ideas. Most of the older pictures are no longer available on the site. Most of the Skerries I see are white on the outside and bright on the inside (all look great!). My plan is to paint the outside offwhite, leaving the shearstrake varnished inside and out, but paint a flat color inside with some varnish. Any ideas would be helpful. I'll be using Kirbies. Thanks
On the CLC site if you look at an individual boat like the Skerry or the Passagemaker there is a section called Main Gallery that has a bunch of pictures of the complrted boats. Most of them are white with bright interiors but there are some with different color schemes that look really nice.
Thanks Ray. The CLC site had a good variety. The way my boat is going, it'll be mostly a workboat finish. I'm tending to go with a cream and varnish inside like I saw on a Pooduck skiff. I guess I'll paint the outer hull white, although the satin black gives it that traditional pirate look. Hmmmm
